Offset Lithography
A method of lithography developed separately in the US in the early
1900s by Ira Rubel, Alex Sherwood and the Harris brothers in which the
image is printed indirectly by 'offsetting' it first onto a rubber-covered
cylinder called a 'Blanket', from which the image is printed. It is the most
widely used commercial printing process and is sometimes called photo
lithography.
