Liquidation looms for Image Print Bristol 26th August 2010

Image Print (South West), which trades as Image Print Bristol, has closed its doors and is expected to go into liquidation today (24 August).

The company's phone is not being answered and it is understood that all employees have left the business.

A meeting of creditors took place earlier today and insolvency practitioner HS Business Recovery is expected to be appointed as a liquidator.

Helen Wimble, senior insolvency administrator at HS Business Recovery, said: "Notice has been sent to creditors and the meeting has been advertised in the London Gazette. The company will go into liquidation at the meeting."

Image Print provided print and photocopying services to businesses and printers in the South West.

Directors Alexander and Sarah Gerardi were unavailable for comment.

Chris Holloway MD at Manor Printing comments "this is another example of how hard the print industry has been hit over the last 5 years.  The way print companies do business has changed dramatically, if you don't stay on top with investment into cutting edge technologies and offer something different then the worst can happen.  My thoughts go out to all the directors and employees of any business in that unfortunate situation".
